The Valley is a photographic narrative taken in Panther Hollow, a tiny neighborhood nestled in a valley in Pittsburgh, PA. My goal was to show the unique space of the area and how it influenced and was influenced by its natural surroundings.

For the composition of the shots themselves, I focused on depth and spacing between the visual elements in the frame. The main theme of the set is the progression from the manmade world to the natural world and the changes in perception of the sizes of manmade objects vs. nature.

Taken with a Nikon D40, Nikon DX AF-S NIKKOR 35mm.
